TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Meet David Limoges, Associate Wealth Manager, certified Taekwondo and Kyokushin Karate black belt, and cat uncle of two.
What’s your favorite thing about working for Fulcrum?
My favorite thing about working at Fulcrum is the co-workers; they will either make or break the quality of your time in the office. As it relates to the industry, my favorite thing is hearing family histories and the stories behind how families ended up where they are.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
My favorite accomplishments are the black belts I earned in Taekwondo and Kyokushin Karate. Beyond the belts themselves, the time spent teaching and competing is among my best memories.
What motivates you?
I grew up around the industry with a father who worked in financial planning. As a result, I never found the topic particularly stressful. So when I entered the industry as a professional, I wasn’t expecting the amount of fear, stress, and uncertainty that many clients go through. The most rewarding part of the job has been the opportunity to alleviate those kinds of emotions and allow people to go forward without those hanging over them.
What do you do when you’re not at the office?
Odds are good you’ll either find me at the gym, watching the Seahawks, playing my guitar (a recent addition), snowboarding, hanging out with my brother & sister, or reading.
What’s been your best moment so far this year?
It’s early in the year, so the best parts are still in front of me – starting with making my way up to Whistler to find some snow.
Do you have a pet?
Not of my own, I am the cat uncle for my sister’s two boys.
What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Coffee.
What’s your favorite TV show/movie?
Favorite TV show is The Expanse, favorite book is Name of the Wind, and favorite movies are the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I have an identical twin.
What’s the one thing you can’t resist?
Petting cats and dogs. If you have one near me, I’m making friends with it.
